Charles Tepe was born in c.1829. Charles married Catherine Brady. Catherine was born in Ireland in March, 1837, as listed on the 1900 census. On the 1855 census, Catherine’s sister, Margaret Brady, was living with Catherine and Charles. The sisters birth place was listed as Ireland.

 

Charles was a farmer in Hempstead, New York, up until he died in February of 1870. After Charles death, Catherine married her second husband, Casper Klubenspies, in c.1879. They were married for twenty-one years per the 1900 census. Catherine died on 28 February, 1911. Charles and Catherine are buried at the St. Boniface Church Cemetery, Elmont, New York. They are buried at the Klubenspies memorial. They had five children together.

 

1: Margaret Ann Tepe was born c.1850. Margaret is listed as 5 years old on the 1855 census. Margaret probably died before 1860 since she is not listed on the 1860 census or on later documents.

 

2: Maria Tepe was born in 1854. On the 1880 census, Maria was living with her mother in Fosters Meadow, New York. No additional information found.

 

3: William Tepe was born in October, 1861.  William married Anna Hegeman (Hegmann) c.1888. Anna was born in March, 1867.  The 1892 through the 1925 censuses had William’s occupation listed as a truck farmer. During this time, Willian and Anna were living on Central Avenue in Valley Stream, New York. From 1930 through 1940, William was still working as a farmer but was then living on East Argyle Street in Valley Stream, New York. William died on 30 December, 1949. Anna died on 16 January, 1945.  William and Anna are buried at the St. Boniface Church Cemetery, Elmont, New York. William and Anna had eleven children together. 

 

        i: Anna Mary Tepe was born in November, 1889. Anna married John Boniface Weich on 29 December, 1913. John was born on 5 June, 1880. On John’s WWI draft registration, he was listed as a framer working for Joseph Reising. John worked as a farmer through the 1940’s in the Valley Stream area of New York. Anna and John lived on Ocean Avenue in Valley Stream. Anna died on 4 April, 1970. John died on 14 January, 1942. Anna & John are buried at the St. Boniface Church Cemetery, Elmont, New York. Anna and John had two sons and three daughters together.

 

          ii: Kathryn Mary Tepe was born in October, 1891. Katherine married Joseph Florin Weich on 2 June, 1915. Joseph was born on 28 December, 1888. On Joseph’s WWI draft registration, he was working as a farm hand, employed by Fred Reisert in Rosedale. During the 1920’s he was a farmer. From the 1930’s to the 1950’s, Joseph was an auto mechanic. Kathryn and Joseph lived on Clifford Avenue in Springfield Gardens, New York. Kathryn died in June, 1981. Joseph died in March, 1885.  Kathryn and Joseph are buried at the St. Boniface Church Cemetery, Elmont, New York. Kathryn and Joseph had three daughters.

 

           iii: William Otto Tepe was born on 29 October, 1893. William married Anna M. Vollkommer on 29 December, 1920. Anna was born on 1 July, 1898. William was a farmer in the Hempstead area of New York. On the 1940 census, William was listed as an inmate at the Central Islip State Hospital, Islip, New York. William died on 6 December, 1973. Anna died on 4 October, 1993. William and Anna are buried at the Cemetery of the Holy Rood, Westbury, New York. William and Anna had two sons together. 

 

            iv: Philomena Tepe was born on 13 November, 1894. Philomena married Andrew H. Kollmer on 24 October, 1917. Andrew was born on 6 February, 1896. Andrew and Philomena lived in Middle Village, New York and Andrew was a farmer in the same area. Philomena died in June, 1978. Andrew died on 8 November, 1989. Philomena and Andrew are buried at the Cemetery of the Holy Rood, Westbury, New York. Three sons and five daughters. 

 

              v: Alphonse Tepe was born on 4 August, 1897. Alphonse died on 26 April, 1907. Alphonse was 9 years, 8 months, 22 days old when he died. Alphonse is buried at the St. Boniface Church Cemetery, Elmont, New York.

 

              vi: Anthony Joseph Tepe was born on 2 December, 1900. Anthony married Louise T. Groenewold on 21 January, 1925. Louise was born on 31 July, 1903. Anthony and Louise lived on Central Avenue in Valley Stream, New York. Anthony was a framer in Valley Stream. Anthony died in August, 1994. Louise died on 4 September, 1993. Anthony and Louis are buried at the St. Boniface Church Cemetery, Elmont, New York. Anthony and Louise had one son and two daughters.

 

                vii: Margaret Tepe was born on 28 1901 November, 1901. Margaret married John Joseph Jacobs on 29 October, 1924. John was born on 19 January, 1899. Margaret and John lived on North Grove Street in Valley Stream, New York. In 1930, John was a truck chauffeur. During the 1940’s and 1950’s, John was a farmer. Margaret died on 30 May, 1991. John died in June, 1978. Margaret and John are buried at the St. Boniface Church Cemetery, Elmont, New York. Margaret and John had a daughter together.

 

                  viii: Otto Joseph Tepe was born on 29 March, 1903. Otto married Mary Haverkamp on 24 September, 1929. Mary was  born on 11 May, 1907. The 1930 census had Otto as a manager for farm machinery. Otto and Mary were living in the St. Albans area of Queens, New York. During the 1940’s and 1950’s Otto worked on his own farm. They were then living on Emerson Place in Valey Stream, New York. Otto died in June, 1987. Mary died in March, 1976. Otto and Mary are buried at the St. Boniface Church Cemetery, Elmont, New York. Otto and Mary had two sons and two daughters together.

 

ix: Henry Tepe was born in 1904. Henry died on 6 April, 1911. Henry is buried at the St. Boniface Church Cemetery, Elmont, New York.

 

x: Mary Tepe was born in c.1906. Mary married Frederick Batt on 21 November, 1928. Frederick was born on 13 October, 1903. Frederick also went by the name of Andrew. In 1930 and 1940, Mary and Frederick were living with Mary’s parents in Valley Stream, New York. Frederick was truck driver for a petroleum company from the 1930’s through the 1950’s. Mary died on 30 November, 1976. Frederick died on 31 May, 1973. Mary and Frederick are buried at the St. Boniface Church Cemetery, Elmont, New York. Mary and Frederick had one son and three daughters.

 

xi: Francis “Frank” John Tepe was born in 1908. In 1930, Frank was living with his sister, Margaret and her husband, John Jacobs. Frank died on 23 December, 1932. No burial information found.

 

4: John Edward Tepe was born in c.1863. John married Matilda Beckman c.1897. Matilda was born in May, 1871. John died on 8 January, 1899. Matilda died in 1942. John Edward is buried at the St. Boniface Church Cemetery, Elmont, New York. John Edward is buried in the Klubenspies memorial. Matilda is buried at the St. Boniface Church Cemetery, Elmont, New York. Matilda is buried in the Beckman memorial. They had one daughter together. Helen Tepe was born in January 1898. Helen married Harry Theo Gunterberg on 18 April, 1915. Harry was born on 15 June 1896. No additional information for Helen or Harry.

 

5: Margaret Tepe was six years old on the 1870 census. She would have been born in c.1864. No additional found.
